Ho, Quang

Quang Ho was born on April 30, 1963, in Hue, Vietnam. He Immigrated to the United States in 1975 and is now a U.S. Citizen. His artistic interest began at the early age of three and continued through grade school, high school, art school and led him to a very exciting and successful painting profession. In 1980, at the age of 16, Quang held his first one-man-show at Tomorrows Masters Gallery in Denver Colorado. In 1982, Quang’s mother was killed in a tragic auto accident, leaving him the responsibility of raising four younger brothers and a six-year-old sister. That same year, Quang attended the Colorado Institute of Art on a National Scholastics Art Awards Scholarship. At CIA Quang studied painting under Rene Bruhin, whom Quang credits with developing the foundation for his artistic understanding. Ho graduated from CIA in 1985 with Best Portfolio Award for the graduating class.

Ho started his career in the art world as a highly successful freelance illustrator from 1985-1990. Ho’s illustration works have been featured in the Illustrators Annual and exhibited at the Museum of American Illustrations, and the Communication Arts Illustrations Annual during those years.

His passion, however, was oil paintings and he found time to pursue those paintings alongside of the illustrations. Those works were noticed by Saks Gallery in Denver and Ho was invited to hold his first solo show. The exhibit was a sold-out success, and he went on to have many sell out shows the following years in Denver, Houston, San Francisco and London. Working mostly in oils and occasionally watercolor and pastels, Ho’s subject matter ranges from still-life, landscapes, interiors, and dancers, to figuratives. “Subject matter is not really important to me. I can find visual excitement all around me as well as on the canvas – from a knot on a tree, graceful limp of a flower wilting, to a juxtaposition of a few simple shapes and colors…inspirations are inexhaustible.”

Ho is much sought after to give lectures and workshops around the world. He has produced a number of teaching DVDs and is currently working on a book of his philosophy and work.

Stein, Adrienne

Adrienne Stein is an award-winning American artist living and working in Pennsylvania and Colorado. She holds an MFA from Boston University and a BFA Magna Cum Laude, from Laguna College of Art & Design. Adrienne studied under many gifted and influential instructors throughout the United States, France, and Italy.

Her paintings celebrate the natural world through bold, vibrant color. The lush magical environments and figures she depicts form the nexus between reality and fantasy, expressed through a world of symbolic imagery. Direct observation of nature coalesces with memory, imagination, art history, folklore, archetypes, and natural elements that are fueled by a sense of personal as well as universal myth. Adrienne is inspired by her travel experiences as well as the beauty of her garden surrounding the Pennsylvania home she shares with her husband, the artist Quang Ho and their son, Liam.

She has received numerous awards from organizations such as The Portrait Society of America, The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, The California Art Club, and The Art Renewal Center. Her work is collected in the U.S. and abroad.

McCaw, Danny

In the enigmatic world of canvas and color, where the secrets of the soul are unveiled with each brushstroke, there exists a master of mystique- Danny McCaw. With a palette that seems to draw from the very depths of history, McCaw weaves an intricate tapestry of emotions and experiences through his art

Steeped in the shadows of time, McCaw’s work dances on the delicate line between memory and imagination. With a brush as his compass and the canvas as his map, he embarks on a journey into the unknown, resurrecting forgotten moments and breathing life into untold stories.

Through the strokes of his hand, he connects the past to the present, intertwining history’s whispers with the vibrancy of the now. In his works, layers of intrigue unfold, inviting the observer to venture deeper, to seek the elusive narratives hidden within the layers of paint and the veils of history.

Mundy, C.W.

Charles Warren Mundy, b.1945, Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A.

Charles Warren Mundy, an American Impressionist Artist, was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated with a Fine Art Degree and a Secondary Education Teaching Degree from Ball State University in Indiana in 1969 and then worked on a Master of Fine Art at Long Beach State (CA).

From an early age, Mundy demonstrated a propensity for drawing and athletics. In 1978, he combined his love for art and sports and worked as a sports illustrator for over a decade. For a time, he lived in Nashville, Indiana and was the official illustrator for Bobby Knight, head basketball coach at Indiana University. His company “Champion Illustrated Sports” also received important commissions from the Pro Golfers Association, the United States Golf Association, and the National Basketball Association.

In the early 1990’s, Mundy sought a different approach to painting and took on the challenge of painting in a more impressionistic style, going out of doors and painting “en plein air” and “from life”. Mundy moved away from the restrictions of illustrative art to a looser brush style and freer expression in Impressionism. This painting style led Mundy to a series of European Plein Air painting trips, beginning with a trip to France in 1995 , then Italy in 1996, England 1997, Spain and the Mediterranean Coast in 1998, Vienna & Prague & Eastern Europe in 2000,  Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy) in 2002,  returns to France in 2005-2006,  and Italy and France in 2009. With each trip and collection of paintings, Mundy produced a brochure and a documentary video, which was given to collectors who purchased the work. Also there have been many “plein air” trips to the east and west coasts and harbors of the U.S.A. in the past 25 years, including Gloucester Massachusetts, Camden Maine, and Point Lobos in California.

Among the honors, Mundy was invited in 2003 to Master Signature Membership in the national organization Oil Painters of America. In 2007, he achieved Master Status in The American Impressionist Society. He also was recently elected Fellow of The American Society of Marine Artists. Mundy was elected in 2012 to Signature Membership in the prestigious California Art Club. In 2016-2018,Mundy was invited to participate in the American Masters Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club, NYC.

Recent international awards include “Certificate of Excellence” from the Portrait Society “International Annual Portrait Competition” (2016, 2018), and “Finalist” in Portraiture, Still Life & Landscape Categories, Art Renewal Center International ARC Salon (2009-2020), and 2nd Place in Still Life Category and Honorable Mention in Landscape Category, Art Renewal Center International ARC Salon (2012/2013). In 2018, Mundy was honored to be chosen as the inaugural “Artist in Residence” at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis / National Art Museum of Sport for the 2018/2019 year.

C.W. Mundy is represented by James R Ross Fine Art (IN), Castle Gallery (IN), Vanessa Rothe Fine Art (CA), Guarisco Gallery (DC), Folly Cove Fine Art (MA), and Santa Fe Trails Fine Art (NM).

Mundy enjoys playing banjo with the bluegrass band The Disco Mountain Boys. In 2011, he recorded his debut album, Road Trip, published by Moon Surf Records. He has recently recorded his 2nd album, “The Impressionists”.
