Pem Dunn

Pem Dunn has lived and painted in Colorado since 1984 and maintains residences in Evergreen and Tabernash. His paintings are a clear reflection of his love of the out-of-doors. Hiking the backcountry trails of the Rocky Mountains provides much of his inspiration. Viewing Pem’s work, one sees many familiar vistas of these areas in his oils. Pem is inspired by the constant changes in light and weather. This inspiration is evident in the light and subtle nuances of color that bring a great deal of richness to his work.

Pem has studied with some of this country’s finest artists including Joseph Dawley, Natalie Becker, Karen Vance and Scott Christensen.

Pem is represented by Studio 8369 Gallery in Grand Lake Colorado and Evergreen Gallery, Evergreen Colorado. He regularly teaches oil painting at Center for the Arts in Evergreen, CO and conducts workshops and classes through Studio 8369.

Carol Jenkins

As a child, Carol Jenkins’ home was filled with the beautiful paintings of her artist great grandmother whose resume included painting “en plein air” in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the 1890’s.

Inspired and encouraged by her creative Massachusetts family, she always knew she wanted to be an artist.

She received the prestigious National Scholastic Art Scholarship while in high school providing the opportunity to extensively study painting at the prestigious School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston.

Struck with a bit of wanderlust in her early twenties, Carol headed west and discovered the raw beauty of the Rocky Mountains. She quickly settled in the historic mining town of Ward, Colorado where she lives to this day.

A passion and skill for plein air painting has infused her work with a style that is always boldly spontaneous and fresh.

She is a nationally recognized artist exhibiting in galleries in Colorado, Connecticut and Utah, has numerous awards to her credit and has participated in many national exhibitions.

Most recently she was awarded Signature Membership with the Oil Painters of America.

“ It's all about the light …
The art of capturing its magic, mystery and essence
through the dance of brush, paint and canvas.”

Teresa Vito's paintings are a reflection of the energy that is created when shapes and colors interact with the luminosity of light. They are expressions of beauty, a reflection of her response to the wonder and splendor she sees around her. While the artist’s paintings are interpretations of this radiance, her aspiration is to communicate this beauty to the viewer so they may experience it in their own hearts.

Vito has been a full time oil painter since 1992 and currently lives in Pueblo, Colorado. She has a BA in Fine Art from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and has taught and studied at the Art Students League of Denver, The Taos Institute of Art, and the Loveland Academy of Fine Arts. Vito painted with Master Artist Richard Schmid for five years.

Her numerous national awards include an Award of Excellence, Best Portrait and Best Still Life from Oil Painters of America.  She received the Best of Show Award from the Artists of Colorado Exhibition held at the Colorado History Museum. Southwest Art Magazine chose her as Collector’s Choice for Still Life. Recently Vito received the Best of Show Award from Plein Air Artists of Colorado’s National Show and also received the Art Of The West Editor’s Choice Award and Best Body Of Work at the 10th Anniversary Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painter’s National Paint Out. She has been granted signature membership with Knickerbocker Artists, Oil Painters of America, Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters, and Plein Air Artists of Colorado.  The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center purchased a painting for their permanent museum collection.

Vito was commissioned to design and paint the Pueblo Chile brand for the Pueblo Chile Association.

Her design is now featured on a Colorado license plate.
