Space Gallery, 400 Santa Fe Drive, Denver
A new documentary by Kathleen Brennan and Jina Brenneman, Agnes Martin Before the Grid, captures little known stories of the distinguished American artist’s life prior to 1967, when she left New York City. Featuring rare interviews with friends, lovers, and classmates, this poignant film offers insight into Martin’s identity, the relationships that shaped her life, and the development of her creative process.
Please join us for this private screening, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers. This ticketed event is for the benefit of the New Mexico Foundation for Human Enrichment, a nonprofit organization that provides support for documentarians to preserve the stories and culture of New Mexico.
