The information you provide when you register as a member is viewable only by CDVF staff/contractors/agents during the processing of CDVF business.

How we use information we collect
CDVF uses the information members provide to improve our products and services and to provide tailored content based on your membership type, geographic location, and other ways of segmenting our membership database.

When you contact CDVF we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be having. If you opt to provide information for our member directories or participate in our online forums or blogs, you consent to the publication of that information to our other members.

Your information may be shared with mobile application administrators so that you can access CDVF’s apps. You will be informed whenever there is a CDVF app that is available for your use.

We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of CDVF if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • ensure your access to our member services provided via our website, including but not limited to our member directories, event registrations, and art sales.
  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of CDVF, our users or the public as required or permitted by law

We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners, such as research providers and consultants.

Information security
We restrict access to personal information to CDVF staff, employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us.

When this Privacy Policy applies
CDVF’s Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by CDVF.

Compliance and cooperation with regulatory authorities
If we receive formal written complaints about a breach of this Policy, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. We will also work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.

Changes
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
